The Gardeners Retreat
Our clients came to us with previous building experience and a beautiful vision for their new home! Their plans were elegant and we took their blueprints and turned it into reality! No room was left untouched by their design and details!
Unique tile pops on the floors in smaller rooms while they used white oak rift & quarter sawn flooring throughout the main areas. The bathrooms also feature heated tile floors.
The kitchen is open to the main living area with a dining nook on the side. Enormous bi-fold doors are able to open (allowing for a 12 foot opening) and join the interior living area with the outdoor patio behind the house! The vaulted ceiling with detailed tongue and groove rises toward modern, out of reach windows that are easily operable by a remote function. Eyes are drawn to the real, wood burning stove alcove that is the centerpiece in the main living area.
The designer kitchen is accessorized with brilliant custom cabinets and quartz countertops! Behind the kitchen is a pantry uniquely decorated with vintage doors, splashed with gorgeous tile, and storing another refrigerator and stove!
A spare bedroom/craft room stores a custom built-in Murphy bed. The study room is laced in floor to ceiling, custom library shelves complete with a rolling ladder.
In the owner’s suite you’ll find an eye catching walk-in shower with large tiles on the wall complete with an onyx shower base. The bathroom opens to a walk-in closet with custom shelving.
Downstairs the features continue to amaze! We added a root-cellar for this avid gardener. A custom built wet bar is topped with a granite counter. Beautiful tile flooring expands throughout the basement and opens to a built-in entertainment area, and unique under stair play space. In the basement bedroom the owners have a tilt & turn window that allows for easy escape in an emergency and also allows for furniture to go in and out!
The outdoor features are just as thoughtfully planned as the indoor design! Stamped and stained concrete sidewalks and patios wrap around the front and back side of the home. An outdoor water pond feature is next to the patio and also an outdoor soaking tub. Repurposed bamboo screens were built around an outdoor shower area to create privacy. Beautiful landscaping, the water features, and the large gardening area complete the exterior look of this modern home! Off the back patio doors you’ll find a screened-in porch with repurposed barn wood siding on the wall surrounding a built-in fireplace. Hardy plank siding with cedar siding accenting the upper portion surround the exterior sides of the home.
The efficient communication throughout the project helped our team complete this home with every attention to detail. It’s always our goal to hand over a new construction house to owners who instantly feel right at home, and the details of this home certainly allowed for the warmth and coziness right away!
