The Green House
We loved working with our clients on a special custom home to accommodate multiple generations of their family. No space was left untouched! Unique stained, custom woodwork flows throughout the home bringing the warmth to each area. Touches of green mixed with neutral and natural finishes bring the serene, countryside tones inside!
The kitchen includes quartz countertops, tile flooring, and custom cabinets. An open floor plan connects the kitchen, dining and living areas. Craftsman style built-in pillars visually divide dining and living areas. In the living room a wood burning fireplace is surrounded by custom masonry. The finishes in the bathrooms include custom Onyx showers, tile floors, custom cabinets, and quartz countertops. Two library rooms in the home are decorated with stained trim work and custom built-ins.
A greenhouse room is situated off of the main kitchen. An abundance of windows and skylights allow natural light to saturate the room. The greenhouse is also temperature controlled and includes a water spigot.
A separate in-law suite has it’s own entrance, kitchen, library, living area, and bedroom. The finishing touches and features in this part of the home mimic finishes used throughout the rest of the home.
Similar finishing touches continue throughout the basement. It is complete with a wood-burning fireplace in the living area, a library, bedrooms, bathroom, and concrete storm shelter. Radiant floor heat is ran in the slab for the basement. The home also boasts a three-car garage and an additional workshop.
Other features include geothermal for heating and cooling, impact-resistant shingles, limestone accents, lap siding, and Pella Impervia windows.
Situated quaintly on top of a hill, the home will catch the sunrise and sunset. There will be an abundance of nature and wildlife views from any angle in the home. Bringing this family home has been a joy for our crew to be a part of!
