Finding wide open spaces, inside your home and out!

Tell me you like watching the sunrise and sunset

Living in Kansas we are blessed with incomparable sunrises and sunsets and who doesn’t want a home that allows you to take part in each one? One perk to living in the country is the ability to situate your home so that you can enjoy those moments inside or out. This home incorporates an open floorpan on the main level and the basement, allowing of large windows and floods the home with natural light in each room.

The long front porch offers an excellent view of the sunsets and offers plenty of space to hang a porch swing. The concrete will be an easy product to wash off and it will not need replaced like a wood product requires after years of weather damage.

Simple and bold go together like PB&J

The home is clean and crisp with a fairly neutral pallet. However, the kitchen cabinets are jaw-dropping with the dark stained cabinets! The custom cabinets are red oak and stained in dark walnut, giving the tone a gorgeous and unique appeal. Topped with white quartz countertops and a white tiled backsplash we have a variety of texture that marries a simple and bold pallet of texture and color.

Opposite from the kitchen is the stone fireplace and rustic wooden mantel. Below a vaulted ceiling and overlooking the countryside with the large windows and patio doors, this room feels inviting and open.

The engineered hardwood floors are a perfect shade to accent the dark cabinets and neutral walls.  In bedrooms and the basement the owners chose a light, neutral carpet providing brightness in those spaces.

When the homeowners used tile throughout the home, they used it as a pop of texture and color to make a statement within the space. And if you look at the bathroom photos you’ll probably gush over this tile too! The turquoise green tile is spa-worthy! The laundry room boasts its own dark and dreamy tile flooring that is quickly brightened by large windows.

A floorpan that naturally flows

This floorpan is unique in that the main level has the home office, laundry room, and master bedroom closet are along the front of the home with large windows! But these spaces work so well with the design and make them feel like spaces you want to spend time in and enjoy the warm sunlight.

The homeowners created a wide open space along the main level to host gatherings and allow for ease of traffic flow. Away from these gathering rooms, then you’ll find the bedrooms. The bedrooms are all next to a bathroom and include closets with custom built-ins.

Both the basement and main level open up to the back yard and offer an easy way for kids and guests to move inside and out. The homeowners are also utilizing a bonus room above the garage and this will provide a unique retreat area away from the hustle and bustle of the main areas.

Invite your company over!

We love how this home is conveniently inviting, both through the large double doors at the front of the house and all around the outside. It provides many options for hosting parties, inviting company over, or sitting and enjoying those Kansas skies. When we build your home we want to hand you keys to a dream that you get to live in! Welcome home!
